What is a Marine Respirator?
Marine respirator, also known as air respirator, offshore respirator or positive pressure fire air breathing apparatus, is a dedicated to the ship's emergency rescue equipment.
Marine respirators are mainly used to provide respiratory support to the personnel on board, and to ensure that the personnel can safely carry out fire source reconnaissance, fire extinguishment, disaster relief, rescue and support activities when they encounter emergency situations, such as fire, harmful substance leakage, hypoxia and other harsh work sites.
The duration of use of Marine respirators is affected by a number of factors, including cylinder capacity, oxygen purity, temperature and breathing rate. In order to ensure their reliability in use, Marine respirators need to be regularly maintained and checked, including checking the gas cylinder inflation and service life, the regulator, mask, air pipe and breathing nozzle is intact. The Marine breathing apparatus should also be replaced annually to ensure that it is always in top condition.
