What Is Vacuum Pump?
Vacuum pump refers to the use of mechanical, physical, chemical or physicochemical methods to pump the container to obtain vacuum devices or equipment. A vacuum pump is a device that improves, generates and maintains vacuum in a closed space by various methods.
Vacuum pumps are used in many types of vessels, as follows:
- Cargo ship: Cargo ship in the transport process, especially the transport of bulk cargo such as coal, ore, etc., easy to produce a large number of impurities and sediments in the cargo hold. In order to keep the cargo hold clean and transport efficiency, cargo ships are usually equipped with vacuum pumps to remove deposited impurities and sewage.
- Ferry: When ferries operate in waters such as rivers, lakes or straits, due to the erosion of currents and the accumulation of sediments, the bottom and side of the ship are easy to form silt and debris. In order to keep the ship stable and safe, ferries also need to install vacuum pumps to clean up silt and other impurities.
- Tankers and chemical tankers: These types of vessels are commonly used when transporting dangerous goods or highly polluting liquids. In order to prevent impurities and sediments from affecting the normal operation of the oil pump or pipeline, oil tankers and chemical tankers are usually equipped with vacuum pumps to remove impurities and sewage.
- Tugboats and fishing boats: When these types of vessels operate on the water surface, due to the impact of the working environment and water quality, it is easy to accumulate debris and silt on the bottom and side of the ship. In order to keep the ship clean and normal operation, tugboats and fishing boats also need to install vacuum pumps to clean up these debris and silt.
