What Is Impurity Pump?
An impurity pump is a device used to transport solid particles or impurities in a liquid. It is usually used to treat liquids containing high concentrations of solid particles, such as sewage treatment, mine drainage, industrial wastewater treatment and other fields.
Impurity pumps can also be divided into vane pumps (centrifugal pumps, mixed flow pumps and axial flow pumps), sewage pumps, reciprocating pumps and other types. Among them, centrifugal impurity pumps account for about 80% of the total impurity pumps. In order to prevent the impurity pump from being blocked during use, a reamer is usually installed at the bottom of the pump to prevent slurry deposition. At the same time, it is also necessary to pay attention to the maintenance and maintenance of the impurity pump, and regularly check and clean the inside of the pump to ensure its normal operation and service life.
Impurity pumps are used in many types of vessels, mainly those that need to operate in waters and are susceptible to sediment and debris. These impurity pumps are usually used to remove deposited silt, debris and sewage, keeping the ship clean and safe.
- Cargo ship: Cargo ship in the transport process, especially the transport of bulk cargo such as coal, ore, etc., easy to produce a large number of impurities and sediments in the cargo hold. In order to keep the cargo hold clean and transport efficient, cargo ships often install impurity pumps to remove deposited impurities and sewage.
- Ferry: When ferries operate in waters such as rivers, lakes or straits, due to the erosion of currents and the accumulation of sediments, the bottom and side of the ship are easy to form silt and debris. In order to keep the ship stable and safe, ferries also need to install impurity pumps to clean up silt and other impurities.
- Tankers and chemical tankers: These types of vessels are commonly used when transporting dangerous goods or highly polluting liquids. In order to prevent impurities and sediments from affecting the normal operation of the oil pump or pipeline, oil tankers and chemical tankers often install impurity pumps to remove impurities and sewage.
- Tugboats and fishing boats: When these types of vessels operate on the water surface, due to the impact of the working environment and water quality, it is easy to accumulate debris and silt on the bottom and side of the ship. In order to keep the ship clean and in normal operation, tugboats and fishing boats also need to install impurity pumps to remove this debris and silt.
