What Is A Metal Valve?
Metal valve is a commonly used device to control the flow of media, and its basic structure is composed of valve body, valve disc, valve stem, seal and other parts. The valve adjusts the flow momentum and direction of the pipeline medium through rotation or lifting and other movements, so as to achieve the control of the pipeline. Metal valves are widely used in various pipeline systems, such as water, steam, petroleum, chemical, etc., and are a common valve type.
The difference between metal valves and non-metal valves is that the materials used are different, and metal valves usually have cast iron, cast steel, stainless steel, and copper alloy materials. Non-metallic valves generally have plastic, ceramic, glass and other materials.
Metal valves include gate valves, globe valves, throttle valves, check valves, ball valves, butterfly valves, diaphragm valves, plug valves, plunger valves, pressure reducing valves, regulating valves (control valves), electromagnetic valves, valves for wellhead devices, blowdown valves, disc valves, etc. Metal valves have many advantages, such as simple structure, good sealing performance, high temperature and pressure resistance, corrosion resistance, etc., so they can play a good role in various working conditions.
In ships, metal valves are also widely used. For example, in a ship's fuel supply system, hydraulic control system, seawater cooling system, etc., various metal valves are needed to control the on-off and flow of liquids.
