What Is A Large Diameter Valve?
Large diameter valve refers to the nominal diameter of the larger valve, usually DN350mm to 1200mm. This valve is mainly used in large pipeline systems, mainly used to control, cut off or regulate the flow of media in the pipeline. Common valve types include globe valves, ball valves, check valves, solenoid valves, etc.
Large diameter valves are usually made of carbon steel, stainless steel, cast iron, ductile iron and other materials. Among them, cast iron is one of the more common materials, the price is relatively low, but the service life is short; Stainless steel has excellent corrosion resistance and a wide range of applications.
Large diameter valves are usually used in the pipeline system of large ships, especially large ships such as cargo ships, oil tankers, and liquefied gas carriers. These valves are commonly used to control and regulate the flow of liquids or gases, such as oil delivery pipelines on cargo ships, fuel and lubricating oil delivery systems on tankers, and liquefied natural gas delivery systems on liquefied gas carriers.
