What Is A Medium Diameter Valve?
Medium diameter valves are valves with apertures in the range of approximately 50mm to 300mm. Medium diameter valves are available in a variety of styles, including solenoid valves, safety valves, plug valves and butterfly valves.
Medium diameter valves are commonly used in various industrial piping systems to control and regulate the flow and pressure of gases or liquids. In the Marine industry, medium diameter valves are mainly used in the following types of ships:
Chemical tanker: Due to the need to handle a variety of different chemicals, this type of vessel usually requires the use of medium diameter valves to control the flow of various liquids and gases.
Oil tanker: Medium diameter valves on oil tankers are mainly used for oil transport and storage, as well as to control the flow and pressure of oil.
Liquefied gas carrier: This type of vessel requires the use of medium diameter valves to control the loading, unloading and transportation of liquefied gas.
Bulk carriers: Medium diameter valves are used to transport solid materials on bulk carriers, such as coal, ore, etc.
Other industrial vessels: including tugs, supply vessels, salvage vessels, etc., these vessels may also use medium diameter valves to control and handle various gases or liquids.
