What Is A Diaphragm Valve?
A diaphragm valve consists of a flexible elastic diaphragm, a seat (weir/saddle) on which the diaphragm is positioned to close the valve, and a gland free body. Diaphragm valves are used to manage corrosive and abrasive liquids, suspensions, slurries and pulp without leakage. The main job of diaphragm valve is to control the flow of various fluids. These valves use rubber diaphragms to regulate liquid flow. The diaphragm vibrates up and down to restrict or allow fluid flow. Diaphragm valve is another name for diaphragm valve.
Commonly used diaphragm valves are rubber lined diaphragm valves, fluorine lined diaphragm valves, unlined diaphragm valves, plastic diaphragm valves and so on.
The diaphragm valve works by using the movement of the diaphragm to regulate the fluid passage. When the fluid passes through the valve, the fluid acts on the diaphragm in the valve body, causing it to displace, thereby isolating or opening the flow path.
