10 steps for commissioning a Marine diesel generator set
Marine diesel generator set is a kind of power generation equipment with fast start, easy operation and maintenance, less investment and strong adaptability to the environment, and it is also an indispensable and important existence in Marine spare parts. It is mainly used for the power supply of various main power supplies and emergency power supplies, and can also be applied to the power supply of electric propulsion systems. Therefore, the commissioning of the generator set before work is also essential.
1. Add water
First, close the drain valve, add clean drinking water or pure water to the tank mouth, and close the tank cover.
2. Add oil
During the refueling process, observe the ruler until the oil is added to the position of the ruler, cover the oil cap, do not add too much oil, too much oil will cause the phenomenon of oil discharge and oil burning.
3. Distinguish between return oil and return oil
In order to ensure that the machine is clean, the diesel oil is generally allowed to settle for 72 hours. Do not insert the oil inlet into the bottom of the cylinder to avoid inhaling dirty oil and blocking the tubing.
4. Pump diesel
First loosen the nut on the manual oil pump, hold the handle of the manual oil pump of the diesel generator set, and pull evenly until the oil enters the oil pump.
5. Air release
First loosen the bleed screw of the high pressure oil pump, then press the oil pump, see the oil and bubble overflow in the screw hole, until the oil is completely discharged, tighten the screw.
6. Connect the starting motor
Distinguish between the positive and negative electrodes of the motor and the positive and negative electrodes of the battery. Two batteries should be connected in series to achieve the 24V effect. Connect the positive electrode of the motor first. When connecting the positive terminal, do not allow the terminal to touch other wiring segments.
7. Air switch
The switch should be in the separated state before starting the machine or when the machine is not in the power supply state. There are four terminals at the lower end of the switch. These three are three-phase fire wires. The Cummins generator set is connected to the power cord. The independent number is zero. The power supply that contacts the neutral line, the neutral line and any fireline is 220V lighting. Do not use more than one third of the rated power of the generator.
8. Instrument part
Ammeter, voltmeter, frequency meter, oil pressure meter, tachometer, water temperature meter and other instruments need to be checked.
Step 9 Get started
Turn on the ignition switch, press the button, release the generator set after driving, run for 30 seconds, flip the high and low speed switch, the machine slowly from idle to high speed, check the reading of all instruments. Under all normal conditions, the air switch can be closed, and the power supply is successful.
